I am looking for a practical answer to this UPSC question: How do we know the sources from where the UPSC asked questions in previous prelims and Mains exams?

If someone has prepared seriously for this part of the UPSC process, please share a clear strategy, useful resources, and the mistakes that usually waste time. Honest advice from repeat aspirants would help a lot.

The easiest way to think about it is:
- prelims needs accuracy and elimination
- mains needs structure and depth
- CSAT needs timed practice and calm execution
The study style has to match the output.

That small shift alone can save a lot of time.
