I am looking for a practical answer to this UPSC question: Is it necessary to take coaching for UPSC general studies?

Please share whether coaching or a test series actually made a difference for you, and what I should compare before spending money. First-hand feedback would be more useful than generic recommendations.

That is usually where preparation starts feeling more manageable.
