A useful self-check is: - do I know the syllabus - are my sources limited - am I revising enough - am I testing myself honestly Most preparation problems show up there. Most people improve once that part becomes clear.
Did you never take breaks during your UPSC preparation? I can study well for 8-10 hours a day but not beyond that. I also need to take a break once a week. Am I not working hard enough for the UPSC?

A workable structure is: - fixed weekday slots for reading and revision - one serious subject block daily if possible - weekends for mocks and backlog - one honest review of the plan every week That small shift alone can save a lot of time.
